Madison’s Asian American Media Spotlight

Madison’s Asian American Media Spotlight is an annual event that showcases brand new Asian American feature films and documentaries and hosts conversations with Asian American filmmakers about their work.  It has been held as a standalone event since 2015, but the Asian American Studies Program at UW-Madison has a much longer history of hosting Asian American film series and collaborating with the Wisconsin Film Festival.  These screenings help to diversify the media offerings available within the broader Madison community, and provide an outlet for our community to discuss the impact of Asian American media and broader issues facing Asian Americans.
