The Asian American Studies Program is excited to co-sponsor a film screening with GETSEA and the History Department for the feature length film, Vietnamerica.The film follows a Vietnamese martial arts master returns to the waters that claimed his wife and children during their escape in hopes of
finding their grave, encouraging dialogue and reflection on the aftermath of the Fall of Saigon in 1975.

GETSEA brings about two dozen universities together each semester to watch a documentary film simultaneously and connect via Zoom to have a discussion with the filmmakers(s). This Fall, we will be showing Vietnamerica (see link below) and Nancy Bui, Executive Director and Director of the Vietnamese Heritage Foundation will join us for the discussion.
