Established in 2005, the Amy Ling Legacy Fund has supported our Asian American Studies program through funding our mission on campus and off. This year, we are honored to announce the 2025 winners of the fund’s two awards, the Amy Ling Yellow Light Award for Integrity, and the Amy Ling Yellow Light Award for Creative Endeavors and Scholarship.
The Amy Ling Yellow Light Award for Integrity recognizes students who serve as positive role models for Asian American studies. This year’s winners are Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis PhD student Tony DelaRosa and Human Development and Family Studies Junior Jasmine Cheng.
The Amy Ling Yellow Light Award for Creative Endeavors and Scholarship celebrates students whose creative and/or academic work furthers Asian American studies. This year, we honor Second Language Acquisition PhD student Thérèse Moua Jasperson and Computer Science senior Katie Krouse.
Each award winner will receive $250 in tuition funds for the fall semester, and will be celebrated at the Asian American Studies Program celebration later this semester. As a program, we are so honored to be apart of a community of students, scholars and artists who build up not only our campus, but the field of Asian American studies as a whole. Congratulations again to all our winners!
