Gabriel "Gabe" Javier

Gabriel (Gabe) Javier serves as associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs, overseeing the portfolio of Identity and Inclusion, which includes the Multicultural Student Center (MCS), Gender and Sexuality Campus Center (GSCC), International Student Services (ISS), McBurney Disability Resource Center, and Veteran Services & Military Assistance Center. As former assistant dean and director of the Multicultural Student Center and Gender and Sexuality Campus Center, he strives to continue building inclusive, authentic communities across campus in this new role. Centering the voices of underrepresented students will remain at the core of my work. Originally from St. Louis, MO, Gabe was raised Roman Catholic and is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He has presented across the nation on topics such as intersectionality, intimate partner violence and sexual assault, digital identity development, and the design, implementation, and assessment of LGBTQ Ally Training programs.
