Activity and Study Spaces

The Asian American Studies Program is proud to house the May 2nd Lounge as a space for students, faculty, staff and community members to gather, study and relax.

Located on the 3rd floor of Ingraham Hall in room 339W,  our hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30.

The May 2nd Lounge commemorates the activism of students of color who rally against racism and injustice. The lounge’s name specifically spotlights the 1987 activism of the Minority Coalition on campus, but the space centers students past and present working to make their communities more equitable.
